Arçelik has ranked top in four categories at the IDC CIO Awards organized by International Data Corporation (IDC), the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.

 

Arçelik ranked;

  • 1st in the Change Management category with its “Coronavirus Filiation App” project 
  • 1st in the Future Of Work category with its “Arctic Diamond - Digital Factory Design & Implementation” project
  • 3rd in the Future of Work category with its “Quality Intelligence” project 
  • 3rd in the Innovation category with its "Çevik: A Decision-Making AI Tool for Service Excellence" project 

 

 

Arçelik Information Technologies Director Yekta Caymaz was also awarded the CIO Special Jury award at the IDC CIO awards, where projects and initiatives pioneering digital transformation initiatives were evaluated.

 

Details of the Awarded Projects

 

Coronavirus Filiation App: Arçelik developed and implemented a mobile app to track the retrospective footprints of COVID-19 cases at its several locations.

 

Arctic Diamond: This project enabled Arctic Diamond factory; which is the first greenfield factory that is awarded as a “lighthouse factory” by World Economic Forum; implementing over 22000 data points and real-time integration through an MES system.

 

Quality Intelligence: Quality Intelligence, an end-to-end Artificial Intelligence (AI) system powered by AWS and fully integrated with our Customer Care systems, automatically monitors and analyses technician notes. So far it has improved reaction time to eliminate root causes by 3.5 times and generated yearly savings of more than 20 Million Turkish Liras

 

Çevik: Çevik is developed aiming to recommend spare parts to the technicians to solve product defects in a smaller number of visits, leading to higher customer satisfaction. The project currently resulted in a decrease of 8% in total number of customer visits and total number of complaint calls is expected to be reduced by 9%.
