Arçelik A.Ş. has recently received reports of individuals using the name of Arçelik A.Ş., its executives and/or the Arçelik brand to solicit investments from members of the public. These individuals have allegedly promised investment returns, attempted to direct people to investment platforms purportedly affiliated with Arçelik A.Ş., and requested personal information and funds for investment purposes.
We would like to make it clear that Arçelik A.Ş. does not directly solicit or collect funds from investors, nor does it provide investment advisory services.
The shares and/or debt instruments of Arçelik A.Ş. are issued and traded on the stock exchange in accordance with the regulations of the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (“CMB”). Transactions involving such capital market instruments may only be carried out through investment firms, banks or intermediary institutions duly authorized by the CMB. Likewise, investment advisory services and other similar capital markets activities may only be provided by professional institutions authorized by the CMB.
The CMB publishes on its official website a publicly available list of authorized institutions and their respective authorization certificates. Before conducting any investment transaction, investors are strongly advised to verify whether the relevant institution is included on this list in order to protect themselves against potential fraudulent activities.
Any investment solicitation or recommendation, promise of high returns, or similar activity conducted through social media, messaging applications, websites or other platforms by persons or entities that are not authorized by the CMB may, depending on the circumstances, constitute “Market Fraud” or “Abuse of Trust” under applicable legislation and may be subject to legal and criminal sanctions.
In this context, we strongly remind investors to:
Disregard any solicitation to transfer funds, investment offer or investment recommendation made through social media or other communication channels using the name of Arçelik A.Ş., the Arçelik brand and/or Arçelik A.Ş. executives, particularly where high returns are promised;
Conduct investment transactions and seek investment-related services only through institutions duly authorized by the CMB; and
Follow official disclosures concerning Arçelik A.Ş. exclusively through our corporate website and the Public Disclosure Platform (“PDP”).
To avoid any financial loss or other adverse consequences, we strongly advise the public not to act upon any communication purporting to offer investment opportunities or guaranteed high returns on behalf of Arçelik A.Ş., or requesting the transfer of funds, and to report such communications to the competent authorities where appropriate.
