As a voluntary member of many international initiatives, Arçelik observes these initiatives’ directives in human and employee rights as well as ensuring independent audits on its approaches and practices. The company complies with the human rights and labour standard principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which its parent company Koç Group is a signatory of. Arçelik presents to its stakeholders its performance in this area via sustainability reports.

Among our biggest responsibilities is to provide a development-oriented work environment where our employees will feel happy and productive because our work's sustainability depends on qualified and experienced professionals who will take Arçelik to its future. Our primary approach in fulfilling these responsibilities is grounded on respect for fundamental human rights and a continuous improvement focus.

In order to guarantee the continuity of this system we established, we deeply value our code of conduct based on the principles set by Vehbi Koç, the founder of the Koç Group. In alignment with the personnel regulations, our code of conduct was published after having been ratified by the Arçelik Board of Directors. Arçelik’s Ethics Committee, composed of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager, Human Resources Director and Legal Advisor, ensures that these ethical rules are formulated and correctly applied. The Human Resources Director is responsible for establishing and adhering to the human rights principles. Below is an overview of the cases that have been discussed by Arçelik Board of Ethics since 2012.
