Arctic Supports the First Dual
Education Classes in Dambovita

Arctic, the leader of the Romanian household appliances market and owner of the biggest factory in Continental Europe, signed a partnership with the „Nicolae Ciorănescu” Technologic Highschool and Targoviste Town Hall for supporting the first classes of dual professional education in Dambovita county. Thus, Arctic will be actively involved in the professional development of students during the three years of study and also after graduation.

The project will include 56 students who have enrolled in the program, which is planned to expand significantly in the following years. The graduates of the Arctic classes will be familiar with operating Industry 4.0 intelligent technologic equipment and, by the end of the training period, will have priority to be hired at the new washing machine factory in Ulmi. Besides theoretical and practical knowledge, Arctic will offer monthly scholarships of 300 lei, merit scholarships of 600 lei and other forms of material support. Also, during the three years, the students will have the opportunity to go on internships in the Gaesti and Ulmi factories and be mentored by the best specialists of the company. Throughout the internship period, students will benefit from free transport to and from the factory and free lunch. At the end of the three years, the students enrolled in the program will be qualified as operators for numerical control machines or electronics operators for devices and equipment.

Arctic is actively involved in supporting local educational initiatives, such as the partnership with the Industrial High School in Gaesti where students receive every year educational materials, school supplies and equipment for laboratories and trainings from Research and Development experts.

Also, to identify new talents, the company has active partnerships with Valahia University in Targoviste, Politehnica University in Bucuresti and Pitesti University.
